Intelius – an Overview

In January of 2003, Naveen Jain, former senior executive for the Microsoft Corporation and founder and CEO of InfoSpace, founded Intelius, Inc, a leading information commerce company that offers predictive intelligence to online clients, like average consumers and honest businesses, for decision making process and solving real world issues.

The company has acquired over three million customers who make use of Intelius’ information to protect their assets, businesses and families in just less than three years of operation. Their services include criminal checks, identity verification services and IDWatch. Criminal checks allow consumers to come up with informed choices about the people they trust by giving information like nationwide felony, and other criminal records. Identity verification services assists businesses in giving background checks on individuals that include address history, neighborhood report, aliases, bankruptcy; and IDWatch monitors all identity-related information for consumers, including phone numbers, addresses, driver’s license profile, credit information, and Social Security information, to prevent America’s fastest-growing crime: ID theft.

In 2006, Intelius’ IDWatch received recognition as WSA’s (now known as WTIA – Washington Technology Industry Association) Consumer Product of the Year. And on June 12, 2006, Intellius gained honors as The American Business Awards’ (better known as the Stevie® Awards) Best New Company.

“Every day, we make decisions that impact the security and well-being of our loved ones, our businesses and our assets — whether selecting a contractor for home improvements, sending our children to summer camp, making hiring decisions at work, or determining how to safeguard our identities,” said Naveen Jain, CEO of Intelius.

Intellius is dedicated to empowering their customers with accurate information that gives way to confident and intelligent decision making in work and everyday life.
